The validation of a new technology up to its installation in an aircraft is a lengthy process, where the starting point opens a wide range of possibilities which cannot be handled by a single research organization. It is then, when the existence of a common platform shows the benefit, allowing all the contributors to compare their respective results with deltas values with respect to the same reference.
The proposed geometry has been prepared not only for allowing the test of different drag reduction technologies, but to ease knowledge acquisition of the application of these new technologies that can clear the way of the full potential of some promising configurations.
